Sriwijaya University (UNSRI) achieved a proud accomplishment by being selected to showcase two flagship innovative products—TeleOTIVA and Stem Cell—at the Health Innovation Festival (HAI FEST) held in conjunction with the 61st National Health Day (HKN) and organized by the Ministry of Health at Kartika Expo, Balai Kartini, South Jakarta.
Both of these innovative products successfully passed the selection process under the theme of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Health Sector. The innovative products TeleOTIVA and Stem Cell were exhibited at the Health Innovation Booth during the three-day event, which ran from Sunday, December 7, through Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
The TeleOTIVA product, a collaboration between UNSRI and PT Inti Konten Indonesia, and the Stem Cell product, developed in partnership with PT Bifarma Adiluhung, drew large crowds of exhibition visitors. TeleOTIVA is an innovative mobile app specifically designed to assist in the screening process for precancerous cervical lesions. The app utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology combined with the medical expertise of doctors, enabling it to automatically detect the cervical area, the columnar area, and lesion areas, and provide fast and reliable results. Meanwhile, Secretome Stem Cell is an innovative biological therapy with anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and regenerative potential. This innovation focuses on the secretome for knee osteoarthritis (OA), offering a potential solution for osteoarthritis patients in Indonesia.
The launch of this innovation received immediate attention from several high-ranking officials and healthcare leaders. During their official visit, the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices (Dirjen Farmalkes), and the Rector of UNSRI made a point of visiting the University of Sriwijaya’s innovation booth. This visit demonstrates the commitment and support of the government and academic institutions toward the commercialization and utilization of domestic health technologies. In addition to government officials, the University of Sriwijaya’s innovation booth was also bustling with various healthcare practitioners, influencers, and academics eager to learn about the latest technological developments ready to be implemented for better healthcare services.
The 61st HAI FEST HKN event serves as a celebration and public education initiative by the Ministry of Health to build a better national health system, in line with the vision of Health Transformation in Indonesia. The highlight of HAI FEST 2025 was marked by the opening of the Health Innovation Festival on Monday, December 8, 2025, and also included the launch of the white paper “Health is the New Wealth: The Role of the Health Sector in Building a Nation” and the “Satu Sehat Mobile” app by the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
UNSRI’s success in showcasing its innovative Stem Cell and TeleOTIVA products demonstrates tangible evidence of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education carried out by Sriwijaya University. It also serves to underscore the vital role of higher education institutions in supporting national health technology self-reliance, particularly in promoting the application of artificial intelligence and digitalization for a healthier future.
