As part of the celebrations for its 18th anniversary, the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom) at UNSRI held a highlight event themed “Masem Pedes”—a forum discussing the welfare of Fasilkom UNSRI staff and faculty members. The event took place on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Dr. Jaidan Jauhari, S.Pd., M.T. Hall on the 7th floor of the Fasilkom UNSRI Training Building on the Palembang Campus.
The event opened with a welcome address by Dean Prof. Dr. Erwin, S.Si., M.Si., followed by discussions and deliberations between staff and faculty members and the leadership of the UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science, followed by the presentation of awards to outstanding faculty members and staff, as well as the announcement of the winners of the competitions held.
One of the awards was presented by the UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science to Prof. Ir. Deris Stiawan, Ph.D., in recognition of his success in advising and graduating the largest number of students at the UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science and for being the faculty member with the most research publications as Chair of the UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science in 2024.
The event concluded with a banquet featuring 18 different types of Palembang dishes. The number 18 symbolizes the celebration of the 18th anniversary of the UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science. Happy Anniversary, UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science—may you always thrive!
